    Consistently great!

We live on the Gulf Coast and visit NYC every year and every year for the past seven McAleer's has been our first stop after checking into a hotel. My wife has GOT to have one of those Killer Grilled Cheese sandwiches to get her NYC visit off on the right

From the bartender to the food and service was awesome, super friendly environment one that made the six of us sitting at the bar like we were everyday regulars even though it was our first time there. prices were great considering being in the big apple,

    Bring back the frickles!

Love my neighborhood bar - great draft selection and terrific bar food. With one exception: they took the delicious fried pickles off the menu! They were so great! Please bring 'em back!

    The Best Drinks!

Just happened to stop in while walking through the neighborhood...it was early afternoon on a Sunday & I ordered a Bloody Mary, asking if it could be made "spicy". It was the most amazing drink I've had in a long time! I will be back!

    country for old men

Keith and Cam were there nice cute couple. Besides Craig, the nephew, this is still a typical family run business. However, it's an older crowd. Maybe younger depending on the overflow from the neighboring sports bars on the UWS.

    Quiet unassuming

Stopped by for their brunch one Sunday. Mediocore and filling. We just wanted to catch the game really ... The owner and his girlfriend were there, very friendly and helpful about places to visit in the city. Not a destination spot, but typical dive

    Original type old man's pub

Friends from out of town stayed across the street at the hotel where Nice Matin resides. The owner and his lovely girlfriend were especially helpful to give advise about places to visit and sightsee in New York City. We all liked the fact that it is
